Data management

The study directors are responsible for saving the log files from the fMRI paradigms and documenting them appropriately.

How do you get your data?

MR data is only output in BIDS format. During the BIDS conversion, only the metadata relevant for the evaluation (DICOM header) is saved separately. The BIDS data is available in NIfTI format. Finally, in order to fulfill all data protection criteria, all image information of the facial area is removed from structural measurement data.

Processed BIDS data can be forwarded directly within the institute to the corresponding network shares of the work areas. This means that MR data can be accessed at any time within a work area with a valid Uni-Graz staff account (BIDS format only). Study directors are encouraged to check the data themselves.

For external cooperation partners, the data is cross-checked in the laboratory (BIDS format only).

The data generated on the stimulus PCs (fMRI logfiles, fMRI eventfiles etc.) are only stored on these and can be backed up at any time. Since this data is only available in one instance, it is recommended to back it up on the same day.

Study directors do not receive DICOM data at any time!
